Challenging the police department's false portrayal of a "riot"

The District of Columbia's motion will be reviewed by Magistrate Judge John M. Facciolla who will issue a written report and recommendation to presiding U.S. District Court Judge Paul L. Friedman as to how to proceed.

The Becker class, consisting of nearly 700 persons swept up in this massive violation of constitutional rights, has also requested that the Magistrate Judge and the Court issue summary judgment in favor of the plaintiffs, i.e., rule that as a matter of law the District of Columbia is liable for a massive false arrest.
