WJLA Video: Legal battle underway for group to protest outside Trump Hotel on Inauguration Day

WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A local group wants to protest outside of the Trump Hotel along the Inauguration Day parade route in Washington, D.C. next January, but a legal battle is underway challenging their right to do it.

Protesters argue they should not be excluded from Freedom Plaza and that the ban should be overturned.

However, the government says spaces in front of the hotel near the White House and Freedom Plaza are controlled by the Presidential Inaugural Committee.

ABC7 News reporter Sam Ford was live in Washington, D.C. with more.
